This historic temple of Maariyamma is being renovated on a grand scale and devotees from across the world have come forward to donate generously to the renovation of the temple. The new abode of the goddess is being built in Hoysala architecture. The committee was given the assurance by the goddess during her Darshan on Tuesday. The objective is to make the new abode of the goddess an architectural marvel. In more than 18 countries, committees have been formed to ensure that every devotee comes forward and participates in this historical journey. The entire construction of the sanctum sanctorum is done with Bagalkote hilkal red stone and probably is the first of its kind construction in Dakshina Kannada. Under the leadership of Shri K Vasudeva Shetty, the President of the Hosa Maarigudi Development Committee, the temple has initiated several campaigns so as to reach out to each devotee.

Shila Seva campaign
The Shila Seva campaign aims to collect nine lakh stones in nine months for the comprehensive renovation of the temple. Each devotee is given the option of donating Rs 9,999 towards 9 Shilas donated to the temple and the name of the donor would be inscribed on the Shilas donated apart from being honoured during Brahmakalasha of the temple. 999 Shila Seva is available at Rs. 9,99,999.
